Here's what's happening with The Refuge Project: Thursday, January 27, 2011
Today we had our meeting with Mi Familia. We were able to meet with the actual Minister of the whole organization, the lady in charge of everything! She was very nice and friendly and actually seemed excited about what we're already doing through One by One and the Camino de Vida church. She took the time to explain to us what their philosophies and strategies are for working with the children and youth in Nicaragua and how that affects us. It was great to hear about what they already have in place and how we've already been a part of the solution that they're seeking! We are going to be moving forward by providing her our written plan and then meeting with her again to find out what the next steps are. In the meantime, we're moving forward with the purchase of the house and getting everything set up for the kids. We also need to find several different workers; a psychologist, social worker, doctor, etc. Please be in prayer that we will find the right people to be able to help us out in these capacities.
